Breakers Delight 10 Year Anniversary Silver Springs, MD.
After a long drive from Atlanta to Virginia Beach we Team MadClout and HBO CREW hooked up with our folks there, chilled for a bit, partied, got some rest. Up early it was time to head to Silver Springs, MD. for the 10 Year Anniv. of Breakers Delight. Have to say that region suffers from severe congestion and traffic, never the less we arrived right on time, as we pulled up we met up with Seth of Baltimore. Worked our way in and commenced to set up our table. Greeted by Fresh Momma, DJ. DADEO, Ken Swift, EL NINO, and several others what a refreshing feeling to see so many Bboys and Bgirls from up and down the EAST COAST. Thanks to all who came out and supported and competed battles were great, DJ’s Fleg and DADEO on the Drums had us all head bopping till the very end. Dynamic Rockers and Rep Styles ended up in the finals with Rep Styles taking the trophy the cash and the rights. Lions of Koro and DVC ended up in the Quarter finals and both did great. Once again thanks to all who supported us and the event. Special thanks to Momma, DADEO and their crew. Good times.
King of Style Kase2

Four scores and 50 something years ago, in a solar system called New York City, on a planet called The Bronx, a star was born. But this wasn’t your average star, not even close. This star burned brighter than the rest. The darkest bright star you ever met. In the early 70s Case took an interest in writing graffiti. At a time when guys like Tracy 168, Slave, Phase2 and others were, with bare hands and stock caps, forging the very foundation of this art-form, Case was saying to himself – let me do one, because he was down with art already. He made haste down to the tracks to get in on the art action that he saw going on. A couple of years in, the rays of his stardom really began to shine as he came out with what he so eloquently dubbed – the computer rock. A style of letter creation that was chipped off broken up, bended and blended, and in the end something only he could pull off and make it look easy.
Case appeared in the world-renowned Hip Hop/graffiti documentary Style Wars. From that point, people outside of the then small communities of Hip Hop and Writing were able to bear witness to the charismatic, magnanimous, killer of the Manila thriller. King Case2. So the star was born, did his thing, and now realized across the entire universe, enamelized and immortalized for an ever-expanding number of generations to learn from.
I met Case2 way after the fact, in 1998. I can liken it to an average Roman citizen meeting Zeus in person. We went to paint a freight and I only knew him briefly – probably less than 5 hours. but when you meet a guy like Case his heart speaks clear and is unfiltered. So you get to know the real person on sight. Dude was very humble yet aware of his contribution. However, he did not use that awareness as a means to talk down or condescend. To the contrary – his words, his vernacular, his method of speech was always uplifting. He is known primarily for his contribution to the graffiti world and while that is profound, there was much more to it than that. He was a great orator. What I would like to call ghetto elegant. No formal education required he was truly gifted – not just with his art but he was also extremely articulate and very clever. He was not the type of guy where you had to say “what the fuck is he talking about” Move over Robert Frost, move over – Case2 is in town. As far as spark and charisma goes, he had it by the megaton. We can’t miss you – because you will always be part of it and you will always be here.
